Repair/Test Station for Epoxy-Type Probe Cards

Compass CMP 200 is a high precision tool
for the maintenance, repair and testing of epoxy probe cards. Productivity-boosting Compass technology enables operators to check and adjust probe alignment, planarize, “exercise” the card to duplicate production test, clean the probe tips and accurately check the resistance of each probe.

Device contact is registered on the CMP 200 by an eyepiece LED and/or an optional audible tone. Probe alignment under overdrive conditions is checked using a pre-set overdrive.

The CMP 200’s rapid pneumatic chuck drop and power lock feature on the freely rotating basket enable fast and accurate alignment correction.

The CMP 200 chuck allows rapid adjustments to planarity, and permits the operator to obtain instant re-readings of card planarity.

The CMP 200 exercise function simulates use of the probe card under operating conditions. This simulation maximizes productivity by ensuring
the production use of high quality probe cards. A final check prior to the card leaving the CMP 200 ensures that resistance is at normal levels.
